How the Audition Works+

The session combines a hands-on workshop with the formal audition process, giving dancers the chance to experience what training at the ITP and ETAP level actually feels like before decisions are made. Our faculty evaluates each dancer on their technical foundation, responsiveness to instruction, and overall readiness for a more demanding training environment. What we are looking for is not the most talented dancer in the room. It is the most committed one.

ITP or ETAP — Which Pathway?+

Both ITP and ETAP pathways are represented at this event. ITP is the focused, structured training pathway for dancers who want serious multi-style development outside the competition world. ETAP is the non-profit pre-professional performing arts company for dancers ready for original productions, television appearances, and international performance tours. Both programs are audition only and this is how you get in.

  • ITP track — accelerated multi-style technical development, showcase opportunities, and optional Performance Team tracks.
  • ETAP track — pre-professional performing arts company performing in 12 annual mainstage holiday productions, television appearances, and international tours.
Workshop Details+
  • 2-hour workshop experience — dancers participate in hands-on masterclass instruction in jazz, tap, and ballet before evaluations.
  • Coaching and real-time feedback — focused on technique refinement, combination recall, and individual artistic performance.
  • Supportive environment — dancers are evaluated on focus, work ethic, and passion rather than high-stress pressure.
  • Dancers should arrive ready to move, dressed in appropriate dance attire and bringing proper shoes for jazz, tap, and ballet.
