About Encore

Built to Train the Whole Dancer

Encore Performers was built to produce confident, capable humans who happen to be extraordinary performers.

Since 1996, every class, every correction, and every curtain call has been guided by one belief: trust us with your child, and we will give them something that lasts long after the music stops.

Technique without artistry is just exercise. Performance without community is just a solo. Here, students learn to move with genuine expression, listen to the music, and elevate everyone around them.

Dancers leave Encore with something no trophy can measure: the confidence to walk into any room, own the stage they are standing on, and carry themselves like they were built for it. Because here, they are.

The Path

The Encore Dancer's Journey

Every dancer starts somewhere. The ladder below is the recreational path from a first class at three to a confident teen, with the audition and performance tracks that open up along the way.

Recreational Dance

Ages 3–18

This is where it starts, and it is anything but basic. Recreational classes at Encore are built on real technique and real expectations inside a community that is warm, structured, and genuinely supportive.

From a three-year-old stepping onto the floor for the first time to a teenager discovering dance later than most, there is a class at the right level waiting for them.

No audition or prior experience required.

Performance Team

Inclusive Team · Minis to Teens

The Encore Performance Team is first and foremost an inclusive team, not a competitive one, focused on growing as a performer in front of real audiences. Dancers must have at least one year of experience to audition. Not everyone who auditions will make the team. Auditions are held in the spring.

Members perform in two competitions, a local parade, and the annual Performance Team Showcase each year.

RequirementsMinimum one full year of dance experience. Audition required.

Immersive Training Program

By audition · Minis to Teens

ITP is for dancers who are ready to go deeper and progress faster. This is a focused, structured training pathway built for students who want real depth, real consistency, and instruction that actually moves them forward.

Admission is by audition, but what we are looking for is not advanced talent. It is commitment and an openness to being taught.

ITP is the bridge between recreational dance and the pre-professional track.

RequirementsAudition required. Commitment is the priority.

Encore Theatrical Arts Project

By audition · Performing arts company

ETAP is the pinnacle of training at Encore and one of the most distinctive pre-professional programs in the region. This is a full non-profit performing arts company, not a showcase team or competition group.

ETAP dancers train across all major disciplines plus Acting and Vocals, and perform in 12 performances of a Broadway-style holiday production every year, a full spring show, television appearances, and international tours across China, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, South Africa, and Ireland.

This is the path that has produced Radio City Rockettes, Broadway performers, and faculty at Steps on Broadway and Pace University.

RequirementsAudition only. Admission is selective.
