Our number one priority is keeping our dancers and their families safe. We are taking extra precautions and safety measures so we can continue to provide a safe space for our students. We ask that all families please adhere to the following rules when attending class at the Encore Performers studio:

  • Temperatures will be taken upon arrival. Students should wait in their car until it is time to enter.

  • Staggered class departure: students will wait outside 6 ft apart and chaperoned until picked up.

  • No parents (or non-students) allowed in the studio, unless accompanying a young dancer, age 6 and under, who needs assistance.

  • Masks are required at all times while inside the studio.

  • Students go straight to their respective classrooms and bring all belongings with them.

  • Students must have their own dance bag and keep all belongings inside the bag. Bags will be kept in their own personal area, 6 ft away from other students.

  • Dressing rooms remain closed.

  • No water breaks at the water fountain. Students must bring their own water bottles and only use the fountain if they need to refill.

  • Studios are cleaned thoroughly between every class.

  • All studios are supplied with sanitation stations.

  • Reduced class sizes to keep students 10 feet apart at all times. Grids are taped out on all studio floors as a guide.

  • No group/partner activities. No use of props.

  • No gathering in the hallways.

If unable to adhere to all of the above, students will be asked to attend class remotely via Zoom.

*Please note that our policies and procedures may change as the situation continues to unfold. In the event that the studio must close for in-person dance, classes will be held virtually.

COVID-19 Exposure

In the event of a positive COVID-19 case at the studio, we will follow the Fairfax County Public Schools COVID policies.

“Close Contacts” will need to quarantine for 14 days after exposure. Dancers will have the option of attending class virtually during that time.

“According to the VDH guideline, close contact applies to students wearing masks who were within 3 feet or less of a student COVID case in the indoor or outdoor K-12 classroom setting for a cumulative amount of 15 minutes or more within 24 hours.”
